Paint Party with Diana Ingalls Leyba

A fun afternoon to paint, socialize, and enjoy refreshment
A monthly series, everyone paints their own version of the same painting. The artist (in this case, Diana Ingalls Leyba) will lead you step by step and stroke by stroke through the process.
It doesn’t matter if you are not an “artist”.
You can enjoy the art that you create.
YOU CAN DO THIS! Come paint, sip, and enjoy!
Checks should be made out to L & I ARTS
A deposit of ½ will hold your space,
payable to Leyba & Ingalls ARTS.
Monsoon Puppets for Kids
September 30, October 7, 14, 24 2-4pm
This workshop is for kids to make small puppets and/or masks that can be used to participate in the Dia de los Muertos Parade on October 29th. The first class will be cardboard construction for those wanting large puppets, and beginning paper mache of smaller ones, like those tiny ones on sticks. Kids can finish the building of them during the next week, at home if needed. The second class, will be more finishing and painting. The final weeks will be completion work.

Monsoon Puppets for Adults
Wednesdays 6-8pm October 4-25
We will be working on a large scale puppet for the parade...come be part of something bigger than yourself.
Participants should bring some of their own tools depending on what they want to make. If they want to go big, then if they already own a utility knife, and a utility stapler ( not staple gun) to bring them. Monsoon Puppets do have a few utility staplers and staples and will have them there. Also, Monsoon Puppets will bring some cardboard and paper mache material. We might need to round up some newspaper, and extra cardboard. Monsoon puppets has some paint and decorating supplies.

Studio time w/ Crystal Foreman Brown
Thursday, October 12th - Every 2nd Thursday of the month, 10am – 12 & 1:30-4 pm, upstairs at Leyba & Ingalls ARTS. Participants should bring their paints and subject matter, and be prepared to work. Includes demos, instruction, and critiques.
Fee:$60.00 for materials separate. Must pre-register!
Living Lines in Fall Botanicals w/ Lisa Coddingham
October 21 and 22
Keep expanding your drawing and color knowledge as autumn brings inspiring subjects to draw and paint. This workshop supports your personal goals whether its drawing, painting or both.
Drawing and color charts get you started before painting your autumn subjects.
Try out color glazing as applied in your color exercise that match your subject, or create your own Fall leaves while you discover how layers of colors acheive a soft glow.Beginner and experienced welcome.
A deposit of 1/2 will hold your spot, make checks out to Lisa Cottingham.
Fee: $235.00 (includes resource list and supportive handouts.) Materials are separate.
We were going to do a Paint Party with Diane Kleiss but has proved to be too challenging to do encaustic with a large group. If you are interested in encaustic, I encourage you to get in touch with Diane to take a class or two.
